Cookie Policy

TuneLens uses a small number of browser storage mechanisms to make the app work. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

1. Essential Cookies (Authentication)

Name Provider Purpose Duration
sb-*-auth-token Supabase Keeps you signed in between page loads. Required for the app to function. Session / until sign-out

These cookies are strictly necessary. The app cannot function without them and no consent is required under ePrivacy rules for essential cookies.

2. Local Storage (No Cookies)

TuneLens also uses your browser's localStorage — not cookies — for a small amount of non-personal preference data:

Key Purpose
tl-theme Remembers your dark/light mode preference.
tl-checklist-* Remembers which technical fix items you have checked off in a mix analysis session.
tl-utm Remembers where you first came from: the site that sent you (its address only, never what you searched for), the page you landed on, and the campaign tags (UTM parameters) on the link, if it had any. Sent to us once, when you create an account, and stored with it.
tl_signed_up_* Notes that this browser already counted your sign-up, so it isn't counted twice.

Apart from tl-utm at sign-up, localStorage data is stored only in your browser and is never sent to our servers. You can clear it at any time via your browser settings.

3. No Tracking or Analytics Cookies

TuneLens does not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other third-party tracking or advertising cookies. We do not profile users for advertising purposes.

We use PostHog for product analytics and Sentry for error reports. Both are set up to store nothing in your browser: no cookies and no localStorage. PostHog knows a signed-in user only by account ID, never by email or name.

4. How to Manage Cookies

You can control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Deleting the Supabase authentication cookie will sign you out of TuneLens. Most browsers also allow you to block cookies entirely, though this will prevent the app from working.

5. Changes to This Policy

If we introduce new cookies in the future, we will update this page and, where required by law, seek appropriate consent.
